You can read every article without optional position memory. The index filter is temporary and unsaved; it is not an account tracker.
This publication supplies no analytics or advertising storage. Optional reading-position memory is a separate device-local convenience. Open cookie settings to review or change your choice.
Storage inventory
Reading-feature storage
- acj_privacy_v1 · first-party cookie
- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- acj_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read. Expired entries are removed on the next saved reading-position write, where browser access permits; each such write saves at most 30 records. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record. Unused localStorage may remain until a later saved reading-position write, rejection or removal through browser controls.
- Field-index topic selection
- Current-page memory only. The filter changes the visible article list without saving the choice.
Other website technologies
The article-index filter and reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Choosing and withdrawing
Accept optional, Reject optional and Settings receive equal visual treatment in the initial notice. Optional memory starts off. Rejection or withdrawal turns it off and attempts to remove this publication’s optional reading records where browser access permits. It does not erase unrelated site or browser data. If removal is blocked, use your browser’s site-data controls.
When storage cannot be used
If the preference cannot be saved, optional memory stays off. Private browsing or browser cleanup may remove the preference and show the notice again. Navigation and article text remain available. With JavaScript off, the reading feature does not run; previously saved data can be managed in browser settings.
What the controls cover
The preference cookie accompanies matching website requests; reading positions remain in localStorage. This control governs the identified reading feature, not other websites or future integrations. The Privacy Policy explains search, delivery and correspondence.
